BREAKING FAST AT BANGSAR VILLAGE WITH OLD FRIENDS AND THEIR SON

Sunday, 4th August 2013 ~ I had to be in Kuala Lumpur again for the second time in this month of Ramadhan. Two old friends - Mr. Ismaznizam J. Azyze and Puan Hazlina Aziz, who are husband and wife, were kind enough to take me out for "iftar" (breaking fast) together with their son. The location chosen: Basil Restaurant at Bangsar Village. The best part of being a guest was you could always leave the ordering routine to be done by the host. The theme of the food selected by the lovely couple was Siamese.

And suddenly, someone texted telling that she was also breaking fast at the same building but in a different restaurant - it was a small world after all. Puan Janariah Othman then dropped by to see us and had a very very short chat as she and the rest of the family had to rush for "terawikh" prayer(a series of prayers only performed during the month of Ramadhan).

The food was good and the company of friends was excellent. Thanks a lot to Mr. Ismaz, Puan Hazlina and Puan Janariah for everything (and also Mr. Erfan for having to sit through and listen to our conversation). May Allah repay your generosity one day.

it would be a merrier world."
