EXPLORING A SMALL PART OF SUWOLBONG GEOPARK IN JEJU ISLAND

8th JUNE 2015 ~ After the park, we were taken to one section of the beach which was also one part of Suwolbong Geopark. Unfortunately, the weather was very cloudy that afternoon so everybody must have missed the blue sky at the beach.

Other than the sea, visitors come to this site to see the formation of rock which is related to the volcanic activities. That should explain the black sand and stones on the shore.

This place was also used by the Japanese during the war era. We could see the a cell in the hill.

We could not stay here long as it started to drizzle so everybody headed back into the bus for the next stop.
