ANOTHER CLIMBING TRIP TO SEE SIPISO-PISO WATERFALLS

31st JANUARY 2017 ~ One of the must-visit sites in Medan is Sipiso-piso Waterfall. Sipiso-piso in Indonesia means "like a knife" ("piso" is "pisau" in Malay language). It is formed by an underwater river and which then cascades and flows in Lake Toba.

You could just observe Sipiso-piso from the spot where all the tourist buses stop but to get a better view, people would have to walk down (and later up) the steep and high tracks. We just went 3/4 of the route to see Sipiso-piso closer. Thank God my two other companions were not adventurous or pushy to force me to go down further to the river. Why did I have to this climbing activity every time I go on holiday? *sigh*

can you see Lake Toba?

The scenery would have been more beautiful if the sky was clear, as we could see Lake Toba from afar. It was still foggy so there was a thick veil that blocked our view and it drizzled a bit too. We were just too tired climbing but that should be a good (physical) exercise once in a while.
